This week we are talking change. Why on earth is it so scary and how to over come it and get moving in the right direction.
WHY IS CHANGE SO SCARY?
Change is scary. No doubt about it. We get to the point of being so comfortable with ourselves we forget to grow and be better, the Universe gives us a swift kick in the butt to get us moving again. This is where change comes in. That is how the Universe let us know it is time to spread our wings once more. Move beyond our own limits. Understand we are strong and we are courageous. We all can do hard things.
I look around me and people are changing all the time. People will come in and out of your life. They help us grow into the better versions of ourselves. That is the point of being on this planet, right? To LOVE ourselves, one another and be a better version then yesterday.
Change starts with your mindset. It is a yearning that you can’t ignore. It pulls at you daily. The voice in your head telling you to start already… yeah, that’s a signal for you to grow. Start to search that voice. Sit quietly and just listen to hear what it is telling you. It will always lead you in the right direction even if you can’t see the path to start just listen to the voice and move.
I will talk about weight loss and getting healthy because well, that’s my jam.
There may be a time when you look in the mirror and you don’t even recognize the person looking back at you. You may be mad, or sad, or disappointed but, something inside you shifts.
This is when you should make a move.
KNOW YOU CAN DO IT
When thinking about making a life style change fear starts to set in. Fear will show up in many forms and you may have experienced them yourself at some point. Fear of not thinking you are strong enough to make the changes necessary. You may not think you have the “will power” to make the changes and keep them because in the past you didn’t. Fear will also, show up in concern of what others may think of you for changing. You want to fit in but, if you are getting healthy and your crew is not… that could be friction. But, what you must understand is you growing only makes them step up their own game and if they are not ready to do that then there may be friction. That is why you must stay on your own path. Do what is right for you. Your gut already told you the right thing to do!! Remember? If friends become distant that is ok because new ones will show up to support you on your journey. Understand? It may be hard and lonely for a bit but, it won’t stay that way. There are so many ways to get connected with “likeminded people” you will not have any trouble finding your tribe. Stay strong and stay your path. No one is walking it besides you.
WHAT ARE YOU WILLING TO CHANGE?
To get healthy is a challenge to say the least. There are unhealthy foods around you all the time. It is easy to fall back into old bad habits. The decision you must make is are you going to eat it?
You know what the good stuff to eat is. Now, you just have to make a choice to eat it. Small changes in your daily habits will bring you big results over time. Remember, you did not put this weight on overnight so don’t think you will take it off overnight either. It takes time and it takes steps in the right direction. Just listen to your gut and move forward. If you slip up keep going we all make mistakes and we are not perfect.

Make the changes that need to be made and know that you are doing the right thing. Believe in yourself and follow the path even if you can’t see the next step. Know that it will start to fall into place for you.
JUST KEEP MOVING
Action will overcome fear faster than anything. If you are frozen, not knowing what to do. Just do it!! Anything to get you moving. Start. Take action and follow up with it the very next day.
Example, you keep thinking about going to the gym and walking on the treadmill for 20 minutes or so. Just getting started. For days you think about it but, don’t go. This will not get you any closer to your goal. Know that you have to put the thought into action before the results will show up. You show up and your results will show up.
Once you put the action into motion and you start feeling good or seeing results then you will continue. Make it a point to get to the gym and walk even if it is for 10 minutes. Who cares what others think. Their thought of you does not concern you. Then the next day and the day after that and so on till one day you will be running 3 miles for your warm up!! This is how it works but, you have to take ACTION!! Put the work in. You can do it.
Getting results starts when you take action. You put your best foot forward and you keep steppin till you get the results you want. Love yourself and know you are worth it. Look yourself in the mirror each and every day and look in your eyes and say “I LOVE YOU” and one day you will honestly start to believe it. Take 5 minutes a day and do this see what changes happen for you.
