![]() LIVING IMPARTIALLY What does this mean exactly? Well, it means to live as equal as everyone else. You do not put yourself above or below anyone else. We are all the same. We all came from the same creator and we all are equal no matter what! Let me explain where this is coming from first. I have always been a fan of Dr. Wayne Dyer. I have listened to several clips and speeches that he has given but, I have never read one of his MANY books. (not sure why, just haven’t). I have started reading a book he has written titled “Change your thoughts, Change your life”. This is his own take on the teachings of the Tao Te Ching. It is considered a Chinese classic full of wisdom and lessons to live by. There are 81 verses to this book each having an extended explanation to it. Dr. Dyer simplifies the definition to help understand what the verse is teaching us. At one point it seems so simple but, others it is a bit confusing. I read a verse a day. I ponder on it and try to think about it through out the day and apply it to my life. This is the hard part. It is easy to get stuck into our old habits. The world needs this thinking right now. The world is way too judgmental. Dr. Dyer gives us 3 tips to help us learn this lesson. 1. “Eliminate as many judgements of others in your thoughts as possible. The simplest, most natural way to accomplish this is to see yourself in everyone” Yep, think about that for a second. Look at everyone and see yourself in them. Are you really going to judge yourself? I didn’t think so. 2. Remove the word “special” from your vocabulary when referring to self or others. If anyone is special then we are all special. 3. Finally, implement the third step of this process by extending generosity through living the Tao! Impartially and connecting with the inner space of being the Tao. (See I told ya, a bit confusing) I think what he means is don’t judge. We are all equal and seeing yourself in others reminds us of that. You are no better or less than anyone else. We are all created from a Higher Power and we are from that Higher Power source. So, basically, we are all ONE in the same. We all come from the Higher Power, God, Budda, Universe. (It’s all the same) Remember that the next time you want to judge even if they are doing wrong. This is a hard lesson and believe me I am no where NEAR doing this one correctly. I am aware of it now and I have the power to change it and so do you. Have a wonderful Hump day and we are half way through the week.
