I have heard it so. many. times. "It is hard to lose weight." Is it? Really?
When starting a weight loss journey it is easy to let "life" get in the way of your goals. The kids, work, spouse, etc. They all seem to be "in the way" of YOU getting healthy. Why is that? Well because.... it's BULLSHIT!
Yep, I said it. I also meant it. All the excuses for why you are NOT starting or sticking with it, has nothing to do with any of those things. It simply has to do with you MAKING IT A PRIORITY. That's it. Just like your family, if it is IMPORTANT to you then you will stick with it. If it is not at the top of your list you will make excuses. It really is that simple.
Most of you do not like your job. You go to work everyday and give them 8 plus hours of your time. It is something you don't like but you do it anyway. It is the same damn thing with getting healthy. You say it's different. Nope, same thing. You are making work your priority. So, basically what you are saying is getting healthy and living in a body that you are proud of and feel confident about isn't as important as making a pay check from a job you HATE? How much sense does that make?
Losing a loved one or getting a divorce, that is hard. Not getting healthy. It may be uncomfortable because you have never done it before but, it's not hard. It is rather simple really. Eat more veggies and fruit and LESS JUNK!! You know this already!! If junk is in your house get it out so you don't eat it. Make a commitment to yourself to eat better. Don't beat yourself up if you have a bad day. Start fresh the next day. Simple.
What you say out loud or in your head will stand true. If you keep telling yourself losing weight is hard..... well guess what.... it will be!!
If you say you can do it and will lose the weight guess what..... IT WILL HAPPEN!!!
Start where you are.
Fess up and tell yourself the truth about your weight, eating habits, and lack of workouts. BE HONEST!! You made the choices to become unhealthy NOW make the choices to become healthy.
Stop with the excuses and with "it's hard" because it's not!! Make choices that will get you closer to your goal and not farther away from it. You know the difference so just do it. You don't need a quick fix diet or a pill or a drink you need to eat your veggies and fruits and lean meats.
Eat less junk food, bread, and processed foods.
Decide what you want and work towards it. You will not die if you don't have a piece of pie on Thanksgiving.
Make getting healthy a priority and watch how you will make your life a priority.
