We all know that we are suppose to drink lots and lots of water right? Of course we do. But, how can drinking water help you lose weight? Water does so much for the body. It boosts metabolism, cleanse your body waste, and also, can be an appetite suppressant. Here are a few ways to help you shed the pounds by simply drinking water.
DRINK BEFORE YOU EAT
Drinking water before you eat will reduce how much you eat. An average reduction of 75 calories per meal to be exact. Drinking water before just one meal per day would help you ingest 27,000 FEWER calories per year. That is like losing about 8 pounds per year. WWWWHHAAATTT?
Think about if you were doing that before every meal.
REPLACE THE SODAS WITH WATER
Ditch the sodas and replace with water. If you have a hard time drinking plan water consider putting a lemon wedge in it. Did you know the lemon have pectin? What does that mean for you? WEIGHT LOSS!! The pectin in lemons help reduce food cravings. Which will lead to less eating and more weight loss. CHA CHING!!
So, give up the sugary cokes and juices and replace with lemon water and see the difference it makes in a week.
DRINK IT ICE COLD
Here is an interesting fun fact you can share with your friends. Drinking ice cold water boosts metabolism. How? your body has to work harder to warm the water in turn it burns more calories. According to the editorial staff at WebMD.
Drinking water helps with muscle cramps and keep joints lubricated. You can workout longer and harder. When you work out the calories will burn. If you are sweating a lot then more water should be added.
MAKE SURE YOU GET ENOUGH WATER
Trent Nessler managing director of Baptist Sports Medicine in Nashville suggest a half ounce to one ounce of water for each pound that you weigh. This should be drank every day.
A good rule is 8x8 which means drink 8 eight ounce glasses of water a day to lose weight and maintain a healthy weight. More should be drank if you are sweating a lot or working out.

How do you know if you are getting enough water?
Check your urine. Yes, I said check your pee. It will tell you a lot about your water intake.
If your urine is clear or light yellow then you are getting enough water. The darker yellow your urine the more water you will need.
So, now that you have the facts. DRINK YOUR WATER!! lol
