Here is what I am talking about. You know when you are "all in" on the latest "Fad diet" and you can't eat this or you can't eat that? You are always feeling restricted and wondering if this shit is even worth it?
Let me give you some advice.... GET OFF THE FAD DIET AND JUST EAT HEALTHY!! Veggies, fruits, lean meats, fish, chicken. Less JUNK!! Your not stupid you know what is bad for you. If your not sure then don't eat it!!
Second of all.
Instead of telling yourself you CAN'T have something. Tell yourself all the things you CAN have. Be positive about it. Be happy you are doing right by your body.
Don't think of it as RESTRICTING!! I hate that word. This shouldn't be a chore you HATE. For god sake you are improving your life style and expanding your life time. You are giving yourself freedom!! Freedom from a body you are not happy with and freedom with the choices you make. Choices you make based on what you want to do and not based on how you are restricted. How freeing is that?
Consider it your CHOICE not to have that cupcake. You are in FREAKING control when you choose not to eat that cupcake.
It's not that you CAN'T have it. Sure, you can have it but, how much guilt, shamefulness, regret are you going to feel about it? Is it going to be worth it or are you going to let PRIDE prevail and feel so much better about your decision? Be proud you stayed on track and no added push ups to burn off that cupcake. That my dear is a win win.
So, change your thought patterns around it.
Make it your FREAKING CHOICE!!
YOU HAVE THE POWER!! Use it!!
You are grown you do what you want!!
You are the BOSS of YOU!!!
Change your wording to I CHOOSE NOT TO instead of I CAN'T. This way you won't feel restricted. You will feel you have a choice.
When people say " I guess you CAN'T have this cake because of your diet"
Tell them "I can have it I just CHOOSE not to and it's not a diet it is a lifestyle" Don't forget to smile a big ol smile and be proud of the changes you are making. You deserve it.
